About Ksenia Lepikhina:
I was born on May 5, 1997 in Moscow, Russia.
My sports are bicycle pedaling on mountains and in the mud, otherwise known as mountain biking and cyclocross.
I’ve been biking for 7 years.
I got into bikes because of my parents, mountain bike camps, and an affinity for frolicking in the outdoors.
What I enjoy most about racing is the infinite number of opportunities to adventure the sport offers. Whether it’s riding a local trail smoother and faster than before, or exploring a new country by bike, there is no way to have a bad time on a bike.
My biggest accomplishment to date is attending the World Championships for mountain biking 2 years in a row and not doing too bad!
My special talent is consuming large amounts of coffee.
My favorite musician is obviously Beyonce. However, in all seriousness, SOHN is currently the favorite.
The biggest inspiration to me is any athlete who continues to passionately pursue their sport even when everything is against them, such as lack of sponsors, lack of financial and mental support, or injury.
“There is an eagle in me that wants to soar, and there is a hippopotamus in me that wants to wallow in the mud.” – Carl Sandburg
I’d like to give a shout out to CROSSPROPZ for supporting me throughout the cross season and Tokyo Joe’s for the help during mountain bike season. Also a special shout out to my coach, Ann Trombley at Trailmaster Coaching and Physical Therapy, and my parents for a vast majority of my financial and emotional support.
My favorite Hotbox Roasters Coffee is KENYA DIG IT because it is not too light and not too dark, it is just right! The way I like to brew it is in an espresso machine or a french press.
